Sounds/Noises & Meanings

I'm very new to chicken keeping, so I haven't learned, let alone heard- all the noises the girls will make.

Is there a post (that I just can't seem to find) that has the meanings of all the vocalizations (with examples!) that chickens make? It would be really helpful, so that I could figure out what my flock needs/wants when they start chattering away...

Bonus points if you throw something together for me! ✌

Some of these don't have audio/video files to play, but The Tilly's Nest was really helpful.

My girls have taken to making this croaking noise, and I haven't heard anything like it. I wouldn't call it a purr, and it doesn't necessarily sound like a happy noise (but I'm no expert), and I haven't been able to find any similar examples.

Editing wasn't working, one girl does the loudest brrrrr-rrr-rrr-rrrrrrr at 0:27, though they often do it louder or longer.
I'll feel real dumb if this is just a common sound, lol. First time having chickens- I apologize in advance!

No need to feel dumb or apologize....but, yes, common sound.
I don't know what it means literally, bit it's nothing to be concerned about.

I agree, there is no reason to feel dumb. You won't ever learn anything if you don't ask questions.
But yes, that is a common sound. My chickens make that all the time.
