My valley quail are getting chatty! Any idea when these folks will start to pair up or should I leave the 1 rooster in with the 3 hens and go from there??

I have 7 roosters and 3 hens. 1 rooster and 3 hens in one cage, 6 roosters in the other cage. Wish I would have had more hens.

I Would Leave The Housing As Is And Go From There. Or Go To Strait Pairs. Its Likely To Be Quite A While Yet Before You See Any Eggs... Their Normal Rythm Would Be April Or May

"Sounds of spring"??? Dang, you live in Western Washington, and experiencing "sounds of spring"...............and I live in Missippy, and experiencing "sounds of dead winter"........ (sleet pellets bouncing off of the AC unit out back).....

...... Hold On! Time Out! ........ Until you live in Missippy in July / August / & much of September .......... If'n I were you, I wouldn't be tootin' about some 120 degrees ................ Our 102º has a 350% Gulf-Moisture humidity built into it that sends the heat index off the charts.........Nuff Said...
