My hen is roughly 4 months old, is fighting the cochosdosis diesase, i have her on sulmate, and she is eating by herself (some) i have mashed her food and giving her this by syringe as well as water, she is getting better but i have noticed today her breath is EXTREMELY sour! what is this from? And what can i do?

Is her crop distended, or feel mushy instead of gravely after eating?

Try this... take about 1/4 cup crumbles, and mix in a tablespoon of natural plain yogurt, and a tablespoon of finely grated carrot. The fiber is good, and the yogurt cultures will help. Feed this in the morning on an empty crop for about 3 days and see if it helps.
