Sour Crop, Doughy Crop, or Impacted Crop??

So we just gave her olive oil and scrambled eggs and kneaded her crop for 15 minutes and then we put her back in the cage. Her crop was still swollen right after we finished kneading it. I don't know if it's going to work so....

I think I'm going to try the baking soda and cinnamon and stuff like that so that the doughy crop can start moving. I don't think the eggs and olive oil are working. Any suggestions on which one I should do??

We felt her crop tonight and it feels like bread dough so my guess is she has doughy crop. I read an article on doughy crop that someone sent and it sounds like a good treatment. They say 1/4 teaspoon baking soda, 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder, a squirt of lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of water. The article says to shoot it down the throat or tube feed it, but I'm wondering if I can feed it to her through her water or food or yogurt or something of the sort. It never says anything about feeding it through food. So I was just wondering. If she does have doughy crop and it's stuck on the walls of her throat will the mixture get the stuff on the walls of her throat off?? I also have a question about how many times a day I should do this and how long I should wait between each time I feed her. It says 3 times a day, but I'm busy. Right now she is healing in 1 foot from Bumblefoot and we still have to do the other foot. I will feel her crop in the morning and if it still feels like bread dough then I will start the treatment. If anyone has any suggestions or anything else on how to help me that would be very much appreciated. I really don't want to stress her out a ton so we're trying to do the best we can. Thanks so much everyone!!

I'd say be very careful squirting liquid into their mouth, especially if you are inexperienced. It could go down the wrong pipe. I would not feel competent to do that. Maybe mixing it in some sweet water would get her tempted to drink it. Confine her till she is thirsty and then try.

We're going to tube feed her. I don't know what size tube to get her or where to find it. If someone could help me that would be great!!

Can I get the tube at Atwoods, Tractor Supply, or anywhere else. Also she's around 2 pounds and is a Cochin. Can I give her baking soda with cinnamon, ginger, lemon juice, and water or will the baking soda hurt her? What size tube should she have since she's a very small bird?? Thanks so much!!!!!!!

So we are massaging her crop and it feels like water is in her crop. During the day it feels like bread dough and at night it feels like water and food pellets floating around in the water. Thanks so much everyone!!

I know this is old, but I’m having the same issue with my hen. What ever happened to yours?
