I had to do this surgery on one of my EE's years ago. Start them back to food slowly, introducing some yogurt, scrambled eggs, and when mine was ready I sprinkled starter crumbles on the yogurt. I also added terrimycin to the water this is an antibiotic, just in case. Mine did fine, she was actually the first one to lay an egg later on out of her sisters. Good luck, and keep us updated.
