Sour crop question

Last night my husband said he saw water come out of one of our hens mouth. I immediately thought of sour crop. This morning I checked her crop before she ate or drank and it felt completely normal. I didnt smell any sour oder coming from her. She is eating, drinking, laying eggs and free ranging with the other girls like normal. Should I be concerned and treating her for sour crop? Or is there a possibility that it was just a random thing?

Sometimes when a bird drinks too quickly or their crop is full, they spit up. It doesn't mean anything, especially if it's clear.

Keep and eye on her and most importantly don't jump to a treatment at the first sign of a perceived health issue - it happens all to often (with good intent). Many of these medications have side effects. Antibiotic treatment is q great example, it can lead to sour crop (kill off the good bacteria and the yeast take over).
