Also—she’s getting water balloon-y? In her crop or lower on the abdomen?

Not to hijack this thread but I'm having a similar issue with one of my hens, and water balloony is exactly how her chest feels to me. What would that indicate?? I have a thread on this page but no one has responded thus far...

thanks hilltop i just love her to pieces and want to make her better. she is the ‘special’ one of the group that has always had little issues. her 3 sisters are like big tomboys and she’s always been the ‘little girl’. i think she must’ve been the runt. thanks for your feedback !

hi , sorry i haven’t been on in awhile and just saw the new posts

i’m still not sure what i’m dealing with, but suspect it’s something bigger maybe than i can fix. but i keep trying. i did manage to finally get rid of the bulging ‘water balloony’ crop. not sure if it was the monistat or a blockage somewhere that finally cleared. but she still has a droopy, ‘walnut size’ sac of fluid left in her crop every morning. it just kinda says there all the time. i had the vet out to check her gurgly sounding throat and heavy breathing. he prescribed tetracycline for 5 days which lessened the symptoms a bit but she’s right back where she was. now i’m wondering if i should try this tylan that everyone recommends. i’ve tried oil of oregano in their water, acv, and now i’m trying colloidal silver. they get dairy/sugar free kefir regularly. i’m at a loss but besides all that she eats, poops, plays and lays every day !
