Sour crop

I believe my chicken is suffering from sour crop. She is acting pretty lethargic and has a full liquidy crop. When I massage it in the direction of her vent she throws up foul smelling liquid. What can I do to help her?

Do not massage a boggy swollen crop. It can make her vomit and aspirate crop contents and choke to death. If she has a sour crop, she is not digesting food and may be very weak. Offer some electrolytes with vitamins, and get some miconazole or Monistat cream to give orally. Check her crop first thing each morning before she has any food or water to see if it has emptied.
