I am making my own dog food and am wondering where I can find a source of kelp that isnt outlandishly over priced? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

I don't use it per se, but it IS in a mineral supplement I use to balance meat that does not include bone.

I use supplements from Nature's Farmacy. http://www.naturesfarmacy.com

If you get their Ultimate, the KA Calcium to balance bone/eggs that are not fed with bone or shell, and the Digestive Enhancer, you are good to go.

How do You make dog food I would really like to make my own.

I got a book and you need meat, rice, and a vitamin mineral source and oil. I think it may tell more on the BARF website. I will try to look it up.

I feed her Oatmeal and milk and yogurt and blueberries for breakfast and chicken and rice and alphalpha for chinchillas right now and olive oil. But I am still in the transition stage and I know it is real important to get the vit/min balance right. There are vegetarian diets too. O yeah and she loves the raw dog bones for treats
