This is probably a good thing. The broody demons are so pre-occupied with you that they aren't giving everyone else the attention they would ordinarily get. I've only had two broodies this year and neither of them were very determined about it. Even the Dragon Queen (Midget White turkey hen) hasn't show her usual determination to take on all comers who open the lid of her nest box.

She only sits half the time

She is one of my March babies and is getting the hang of broody right now, so she is one the nest for a day or so then off for a day or so. She has fake eggs because I didn't want rotten ones from her doing a half way job at mommyhood

When she is really dedicated like momma is then she can have real ones.
