Hi, I’m an old farm girl at heart and moved away for 33 years and then went back to our old home place. We’d never had chicks and my friend kept encouraging me to try my hand at them. I started out with 20 3 day olds, variety of silkies, orpingtons, and rhode island reds. I now have added 2 ees that have been laying about a month. I just got my first blue egg. I’ve been married for 35 years, have a great husband and friend, 1 son living who has his sixth daughter on the way and one son who passed away in 1999. I love church and children and my job at a Home Health Agency.

It is very nice to meet you. I am so glad you have joined us. This is a great site for info and friendship. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Welcome!

Those blue eggs are the best! Glad to see you looking around the backyard. Pictures are always welcome. Orpingtons huh? Buff? My favorite is Buff Orpington; if so pictures please? Grandkids pics with chickens are good too!
