South Carolina meet-up and chicken swap

I'm new to the site but for what it worth I'm in anytime for a chicken swap. Not too much to bring right now but I do have my incubator full of about 35 Black Copper Marans eggs, so hopefully I'll have some nice juvenile birds by then. I would love to have some Light Sussux (new member, wouldnt allow me to spell correctly because of the last 3 letters!

) if anyone would so kindly bring some!

I live in Darlington, SC and there are some decent Poultry auctions nearby, Timmonsville, SC every Sat @ 6pm and Dillon, SC every Thurs @ 6pm. Pretty nice to go and see a wide variety of birds weekly; although it keeps my chiken hobby growing leaps and bounds!

With all the ones I have running around, surely one of them is a roo! But they are too young yet to have the streamers from the head so I am not sure. None look rooish yet but that means nothing at this age. I will have to watch them more closely. They do have nice top hats on them. I think they are out of my Fluff N Stuff Silkies. I have one white hen that is not from that stock but she throws pretty babies. And i have a daughter of hers but out of my Partridge Silkie roo from Fluff N Stuff. I actually made it to Williams today! They were sooooo busy. But took the time to answer a couple of questions for me. I left with only one bag of layer and one bag of chick starter. Came home & tried it immediately! Every single one of my birds ate it up! More so than the laying mash we had been getting at another feed store! Thanks so much for the directions there! I will definitely be heading back there for feed from now on.

I would also love to come look at your silkies! I think my DD will want to come also. Depends on her mood

(she is one moody young adult!)

I know I am free on some Fridays.......unless FIL has doctor appointment. We are swamped with them this month and in March too!

If DD wants to come, a Friday or Saturday would work best. I will ask her again tomorrow

Don't care for barred unless they are buff barred.

I am not sure how many Silkies I will have after tomorrow. I have quite a few people coming to look at chickens and some are just coming to pick up what they already have bought.
Let me know if you still want to come over and I will see what I have. Surely there will be something you will like.

I SO understand the moodiness. I have a DD going on 16!

I am so glad you made it to Williams. They know me as Amy there. Nathan is forever giving me stuff to help out with the chickens and he is one of the nicest people I have ever met but everyone that works there is. Dawn will be back on Monday, I think. She usually runs it but went to see her son before he leaves for Korea.

DH said even if DD doesn't come (she is 21 now btw lol OMGGG where did time go) that he will come with me

I think I forgot to introduce myself to them today! I will definitely do that when I go back. I will be getting my feed there!

Hey everyone. I just added me suggestions to the pole. I will be there, but I have nothing to sell. Lost all mine a few months ago and looking to start again. I would love to get some EE's, BR, well shoot, just about anything. I hope I don't get paid anytime soon before the meet, because I would probably make everyone (except my DW) extremely happy. Looking forward to meet everyone from Sc. I live in Gaffney and have family in Cola. Looking forward to the date.
