South Dakota

I'm excited since I will be getting my poultry orders come this April! Pigeons, Chicken chicks, some older hens from an eastern S.D. farm, and some ducklings. Will be all arriving within a week of each other! Should really make things crazy for a while. LOL but I am so excited that they are all coming.

I just put in an order for a couple dozen mixed hatching eggs. Would like to find a few older laying hens. Actually haven't been around hear in a while.

Hello, what part of SD are you in? I will be getting some "old layers" from farmer on April 19th. I don't need as many as she is giving me. So if you are wanting one or two for setting, that is plausible. She is giving (selling em to me for $1 ea) me a total of 31 hens and a rooster. The hens range in age from 3 yrs to 5 yrs.

I am from Estelline. I wouldn't mind taking a few of the extras. Just got done repairing the chicken coop. I am still working on a better nest box. Made the first one and it isn't quite up to par, needs some adjustments.

Just got my muscovy duck pair today! Juveniles

Just started raising chicks. 4 Black Aussies. Ready for them to start laying. Too bad there only a few days old. Good to see some fellow south dakotans.

Well the last batch came out to 6 chicks, only have 11 eggs in due to hatch this weekend. 4 chicks are spoken for. The rest, if there are more, are available.
