Southeast Alaska chicken Newbie

Hello all,
I consider my self new to chickens. 3 years ago we gave my daughter three mature chickens for Christmas. She lost interest. Now they are mine. I was given 6 backyard mixes. Now I’m hooked. I’m looking forward to eggs and to purchasing multiple pure breads and adding diversity to our local chicken keepers.

I live in Southeast Alaska. Moisture, cold temps and predators will Al be an issue. Looking forward to the challenges and to ask y’all for advice.
