Southern early blight

In addition to my chicken exploits I love organic gardening .Southern early blight is a real problem here in south central Arkansas on my tomatoes.I refuse to use chemical fungicides. I have built my soil for years just loaded with micro beasties and worms. I have used Serenade OMRI listed weekly and copper monthly doesn't help. I have even bought grafted plants. That is old heirloom root stock supposedly resistant with modern hybrids on top.

Do any of my fellow southern ladies and gentlemen have any suggestions that have worked for you thanks

I'm speaking without any knowledge to go on, but tossing you a bit of a line for you to do some research on: spray them with weak compost tea. Perhaps a weak baking soda solution to change the pH to make the plant less hospitable for the blight. Check out Gardens Alive. I'm not overly sold on their products, methods, and advertising, but you might find something there that might help you.

I agree with what Lazy Gardener has said, also you might try to be sure to mulch around the plants as soon as you plant them. I too have problems with Blight here in Kentucky which I understand is soil borne and is spread a lot from rain splashing soil on the foliage as will as through the air. Mulching seems to help in my garden.
