Southern Illinois Khaki Campbell Duck One-year old Female -To good home with other Ducks

Looking to rehome-Free to a loving home.

We are in Elizabethtown IL.

Looking for a new home for our lonely Ducky girl. Her name is technically, Rowan, but we have just been calling her by the nickname white neck. You can see in the photos that she has a pretty white patch of feathers on her neck.

We started last year with four Khakis, but bobcats and eagles have picked them off, one by one, and now we have one poor girl left on her own. She is not used to being alone; She seems quite sad, and is always calling for other ducks. She needs some good duck friends to live with.

She is a very tame, and will eat out of your hand. She will go up at night without much coaxing. She follow us around and go for walks around the yard. And when visitors come, she takes to new people very quickly. We are only trying to find her a new home because we are just too heart broke to over the other ducks to risk any more being lost to predators.

We love our little ducky, and want to find her a good home. We are not selling her for food! But, she is a great layer for eggs, one large egg a day without fail. But she needs to be with other ducks. It is just heartbreaking watching her try to search and call and never find her friends.

If you have some ducks who could use a new friend, please contact us if you can help.

Thanks for reading

Hello Deb,

Thank you for getting back to me. It might be possible, that is about two hours from us. We were hoping for something closer. But if you have a safe home for her, with other ducks to be with, than it would be worth it to make the trip. Can you tell me a bit more about your duck set up?

Cape is about 2 hours from us as well. I picked that as a halfway point.

We started with ducks in Spring of 2015. We have 8 ducks with 1 being a drake.

They are locked up at night in their coop, which is about 80 square feet. It's about 2 1/2 feet off the ground. Made of wood/wood siding. During the day they are in their own fenced area of our yard. We fill their 2 kiddie pools every morning except when we can't drain it due to it being frozen.

I can post some pics this evening.
