Soy free feed

I have finally found a feed mill that can make soy free feed. I am keeping them in a chicken tractor moving daily.
Will my broilers taste different? The eggs from my layers have lost some flavor but productivity is up.

It’s great that you found soy free.. here it’s nearly impossible.. I think you will be fine!

It was certainly a task, unless I was willing to pay $45+ per bag (I'm not). Got it for $20 a bag.
I found a feed mill that actually got a recipe from a Purdue feed specialist. It took a while and had to buy a whole run but we have it.
The broilers like it but not as much as the soy bag feed. I didn't have grit and all stores were out for weeks so I had to use store starter till I could find grit.

In the Netherlands it’s not possible to find it in a regular store and we have the same struggle you have. I gave up and bought soja based feed after all, so I’m very proud of you that you persisted and won!

It shouldn't be this difficult, just dont add soy, use pea and linseed instead for protein

I had to use store starter till I could find grit.

If they're in a tractor on the ground they should easily get their own grit. If they're little fluffs still, I'd prolly give them some all the same. I have been known to buy grit on Amazon. Stores here are short of it, too.
