I have a friend that told me she will buy all of the eggs we can produce but she says that I have to feed them soy-free feed because she is allergic to soy products. Does anyone know what brand offers a soy-free layer feed? We live near Olympia WA. I've checked with Excel feed mills in Tacoma and they do not make one. None of the feed stores I've checked has any soy-free layer crumble.

I use Scratch & Peck which I buy from Azure Standard. If you go to the link and scroll down to Routes C1 & C3, they have stops there:

While you are shopping, make sure that whatever you find is actually fresh (by mill dates on each bag) and easily available, and the price. Then you can decide if it's worth it to shop inconveniently, and if your friend will pay for the actual cost of these eggs/ dozen.

Interesting! The soy would actually show up in the eggs? In that case, would gluten show up in (edit: the eggs of) hens that eat wheat, barley or rye? Would a person sensitive to gluten be unable to eat such eggs?

IT DOESN'T! Allergies are the bodies reaction to the Proteins in Gluten, and Soy or whatever you react to! Once those Proteins pass through the Chickens Digestive Tract they are broken down into usable Amino Acids, with no resemblance to the protein they came from. These Amino acids are further processed and combined with other nutrients to make the Egg Proteins. Now we are TWICE REMOVED and Twice converted into completely different Molecules and Proteins! That's like being LACTOSE INTOLERANT and GETTING the RUNS from holding your Baby while she Drinks a bottle of MILK!!! It's just not Possible!
People need to read articles based on Actual Science...Not these New Age Pseudo-Science Hippy Rags about Franken-Food and Big Agro's plan to eliminate All but a genetically designed Super Human Elite Class...JJ

So.. .. even if a person is allergic or sensitive to soy, wheat, crickets, mice or whatever a chicken eats, an egg is an egg is an egg, is that what yer tellin' me? So it doesn't matter what the chicken eats or what I'm allergic to, I can still eat the egg? No harm, no, er, fowl? Gee that's great, thanks!

Edited typo.
