I originally bought a coop with a built in run designed for 6-8 hens, but as I’ve mentioned before the fin count was 11. They’ve been laying eggs now for about 1.5 months now. I suspect at least 2 or 3 have not started yet.

They roam the yard, so no issue there. As far as the coop, it has 3 nesting boxes, plenty of hay, and cleaned out once per week. They seem comfy at night and don’t appear get into arguments over nesting. I’ll collect 4-5 eggs in a box at a time. Usually collect about 9 eggs per day now; 1 in the morning and 7-8 by 1 pm.

I figure each bird probably develops at different speeds, but can the size of the coop affect egg production? I usually find no more than 2 nesting at a time throughout the day.

Stress affects egg production, overcrowding causes stress. The bare minimums for chickens is 4sqft in the coop and 10sqft in the run. A coop for 11 chickens needs to have a bare min of 44sqft.
Have you checked their free ranging area for hidden nests? Are they getting the correct diet for their age? They probably are just developing at different rates, in my opinion. Not all pullets start laying at 5 months or 6 months or even 7 months.

Also, some breeds do take a little longer than others to start laying. If they are free ranging than i don't think space would be an issue. However, you should do a thorough search of the yard.
