Hi everybody

I picked up a little heater at a garage sale this summer. it has a thermostat and a fan in it. It is small enough to mount to the wall in my coop. I was thinking about mounting it through the wall from the outside and building a little cage to go around it inside the coop. Does anyone think that is a good or bad idea?

Thanks!

Bad idea.

1. Chickens do not need winter heat.

2. Chicken dust = fire hazzard.

Dont do it.

I wouldn't want to either...I worry myself to death about the brooder lamp catching something on fire already.
