True ... I'm hoping I can avoid chicken math, at least for this year, until I get the hang of things: I'm a bit nervous about being a first time chicken mother.

Well you found a good site with lots of helpful information for just about any question you might have. You can type in a question in the Search under whatever forum title and read previous post from others regarding your topic. I'm sure you will do great! You are ahead of the game - you actually found this website before you got your chicks.

If had done more research before I brought home the cute little chicks last year, I would have ran the other way and never brought them home - just kidding LOL We are currently building our 4Th coop/barn. LOL
