Spacing for coturnix quails

Hi there,

I have a spare cage which is 5.9 sq ft. How many quail can I comfortably fit in this area?

general rule of thumb for housing space for COTURNIX quail is 1 sq ft /adult bird.though for some individuals this is not enough and for others is very spacious . i dont know about other quail species . i would think Bobwhites would need more since they tend to have aggression issues.
