My 18 week pullet won't get out of this position. I noticed yesterday she seemed a bit off (standing still by herself), but today she can hardly move and just stands like this. I brought her in and fed her some yogurt and scrambled and cooked lentils, and she ate quite a bit. Any idea what this could be? She doesn't have diarhea and keeps trying to perch on the lip of the box, so she is seemingly not feeling too terrible.

Is she overheated or dehydrated? I would start some vitamins and electrolytes in her water, and dip her beak or see that she gets some with a dropper right away. She looks a little like she may have wry neck which can be a symptom of vitamin deficiency, and illness such as Mareks and others, or from a head injury. Make sure that she is getting a balanced chicken feed, along with the vitamins in her water. Here is a link or three to read: http://www.browneggblueegg.com/Article/Crookneck/Crookneck.html

Thanks so much. I brought her in last night and spoiled her with yogurt and mashed lentils, and gave her a dose of cayenne, and she looks totally normal this morning.
