Spanish moss for nests?

I just put it in my nesting boxes and my girls are snacking on it like it was potato chips. =(

Brought it up from the bayou in Texas and left it out in the -10 degree weather we had here last week. Hope that killed off any creepy crawlies.

I actually thought about that today. I went in the back and its everywhere. I would like to but I just don't want to fix what's not broken. But it seems so much better than hay. Not sure what I should do. Girls are being very productive right now.
