The idea would be to have basically a hutch on stilts and then enclose the stilts (and most likely the dirt under it)with hardware cloth so that the raised part where they roost would be the hutch and the enclosed area under the hutch would be a place for them to walk around.
But yes I understand that letting them fly is a no-no or more over a bye-bye lol moment
