Sparrow proof feeder

Any ideas on how to sparrow proof a feeder? My coop has a very big door and the feeder is just inside it, and I think that the sparrows have been eating the food more then the chickens.

Do I need to have the food out during the day if they are mostly free range, and I don't really see them eat the layer food anyway during the day. So far my solution has been to take out the food in the morning when the coop gets opened up so that I save the food and hopefully not have sparrows flying into the coop.

A treadle feeder or hang strings of beads the chickens can walk through but the sparrow can't fly through.
