My dad said I can keep the raccoon as long as I feed him and keep him away from the birds. he LOVES Rudder. and Rudder is really nice to him too!

I think I'm going to go with the name Dennis, short for Dennis the Menace
Thats great! I love the name!!

I let my sister give him his bottle a few minutes ago, I'm going to feed him again around midnight and then at 4-5am ish

He also ate some peas and a bit of cat food
Awwww
Its good hes eating
Soo cute!
yeah, so if he is outside gives him a better chance of someone not hurting him.

I called the vet earlier today and scheduled and appointment for him to get some shots. Apparently they don't need proof of ownership meaning they don't have to know I don't have a license to keep him 😈
Thats great! They might know that its illegal to keep a racoon though…
ikr? I'm just going to assume this means God wants me to have this raccoon 😌

His appointment isn't for 12 weeks though!! that's because raccoons have to be at least 20 weeks old to get rabies vaccine which is the main reason I want to bring him to the vet.
Be careful while you wait!
Hes so cute :love
oh and we got a pig today
Really?! Thats so cool!
Yeah!! He started screaming as soon as he saw the other pig so we thought they would fight but he immediately wanted to just hang out with him. we have a second dog door and one goes into like this mud room/hallway area and my dad put up a gate so the pigs can come in but we dont have to worry about them messing up the house
Awww, at least nelson has a friend now!
hmmm, I've been doing some research and uh... I'm probably fine

Can you get diseases from raccoons?

Raccoons in the United States are known to carry infectious diseases that can be transmitted to humans and animals that have contact with raccoons or their waste. Both young and mature raccoons can shed viruses, bacteria and parasites that when exposed to humans and animals can result in infections and disease.
Just don’t touch the poop/urine, clean it up with gloves or a shovel or something immediately and minimise close contact as much as u can. Other than that theres not much you can do.
Oh, and dont let him in your bed lol
I can play Guitar or ukulele for you guys too
I can play guitar too! We can do a duet lol
Veterinary. Imma be a wildlife and farm veterinarian.
Same!
Just finished his bottle, (my guy downed that) I'm going to give him some cat food and see if he wants to try a sardine
