They stole the cat then killed it?

Yeah, she was around my age and i invited her over to meet our cat who was a stray we picked up and bought flea medicine etc. Then she said it was her cat and took it, brought it to her grandma where it was so freaked out by then it was hiding under a rocking chair and her grandma smushed it by rocking the chair.

Was it actually their cat?

No. They had a cat that was very well taken care of with a collar, this one was literally infested with fleas. Not to mention i knew the cat's mother because it was a stray from a nearby farm with a man who fed the mama cat.
