does anyone know how come I found a baby in winter?

Idk usually the mamas are very protective and stay around their young. Theirs also several babies so idk why this little one is alone

his mom was dead on the road and he was there, I'm guessing he had siblings that wondered off? I just thought most babies were born in spring

yes and no. I found him and I guess they're illegal to own but how would they know I have him

Ya I had to do the same to a little Cardinal I raised it's illegal but I wasn't gonna let him die and we don't have a Rehabilitator near us. He is all grown up and free now
