I'm starting to want to show again tho it's just so much work

It can be dangerous, especially starting out, but most riding arenas are going to start you on a very "kid friendly" horse and be sure that you have a helmet and all that stuff. the place I went to didn't require helmets they just strongly advised them. I always forgot though.

Yeah I still remember my training pony, he was so sweet. My horses aren't really beginner horses

and every single time a horse almost reared, which was once, I just had to turn there head towards me because I knew it would stop him from rearing and everything was fine

Sometimes I forget how much my horse has done, she used to run barrels, has had multiple foals, she's so special. I can't believe she's 21 now
