Oh wow that is cheap. If you do transition them over make sure to do it slowly and provide oyster shells the whole time so they figure out how to get the calcium they need

ok I just asked my mom and she says whenever I am running low on feed I can go to TSC with her or my Dad so I can compare the nutrition of layer, all flock, and chick starter.

unmedicated chick starter is cheaper than most layer pellets and is pretty much the exact same as all flock just a crumble. I think it was $15 for a 50 bag of chick starter?

Not here. Chick starter is a few $$$ more a bag.
I don't buy brand name bags from the store though.

Really? I think it was $18-19 for layer and $15 for starter. And I’m over here paying $23 for a 40 lb bag of all flock just cause I don’t like crumble lol

I think it's the same where I live. The starter is cheaper than layer.

I don't like crumble either. I feed my chickens on the ground every morning so I feel like with crumble half of it is just wasted and turns into dust.

I'll probably just have to get out my 4 year old feeders from our shed
