My grandmother always said not to eat from the first snow of the year.
Ever heard that? Idk why and have so many times. I think it's an ol wives tale but idk the thought behind it.

Oh, okay! I've never eaten snow bc we don't get much where I live.

last year we only got ice that looked exactly like snow, so our land was just a big not good ice rink

I think it has something to do that the first snow fall is like a filter for the air, and collects pollen as it falls

a few days ago we got what's called grubble. It's kinda boring because you can't do anything with it lol. it's not snow, but it's like smaller, softer hail

I think we got the same. Like small ice pellets. Looks more whitesh like snow then hail but doesn't feel exactly like either

That sounds about right. I thought it was about it picking up some kind of pollutes of some sort.
I'm disregarding it though. We don't get as many snows as we used to here so I'm not throwing one away.
