But ya I'm the same. All I have here is Kansas City so probably doesn't compare but it's a train wreck. I avoid it like the plague

Yep that is true. I've had an amazing church friend from Miami and NYC and both were great it's just sad the majority is not cuz then all the good ppl get drowned out by the bad and that's all you end up seeing from the outside.
