Special Assorted bantams--Pictures! Name that chick~! Updated Pics

the only chick with those sqiggly lines I can think of are the campines (and OE do come in campine color) but then they should have chipmunk stripes.... I could never order an assorted mix - it would drive me nuts trying to figure out what everything was lol!! Good luck to you

The chicks that have Silkies above them can't be silkies. Their skin/feet/beak should be black

Update for Today:

The squiggly mystery chickens that look like Egyptian Fayoumis but were the wrong color as chicks. All 4 are roosters. One of them is 7 weeks and the other is 6 weeks. TODAY i caught one CROWING!! Im starting to think they MUST have Egyptian in them or was crossed with egyptian.

Supposedly Egyptians are the only roos that crow that early. They are the fastest maturing chickens known. I used to raise them so I can vouch for whats written about them

The modern Bantam in front and a dutch bantam in back

White OEGB roo this guy has taken to me and always flys up and roost on my lap or shoulder or back or anywhere he can

I orginally thought this was a white cochin but the cheek puffs so now im going with White D'Uccle

Silver dutch in the middle?

WLR Cornish Bantam Roo

Mille Fleur D'Uccle

These guys are from some eggs from a BYC'er said they were SLW / RIR mix. I can def see the SLW in them and they have pea combs

They are obviously terrified of me

One of the crowing mysteries

Another Dutch bantam

My blue dutch Roo

Crele Oegb

OEGB

RIR mix Mutt from one of our friends I hatched- He is the biggest chick I ever hatched and he or she is Still bigger than the bantys which are older than him

Blue and Red oegb roo

Some kind of bantam

Think i've finally figured out this is a Blue Mille Fluer D' Uccle. She has always been smaller than the other two D' Uccles tho

which are all looking like boys! I too have a few mystery chicks, was your cornish a lot larger than your other bantams? I have one monster of a chick and trying to figure out what it is. So jealous of your little modern, I have one and was hoping they would throw one into the assortment, mine is just soo sweet and was hoping for another.

Yes my cornish was unmistakable from day one. he was way breastier and stockier. Also the Modern was also obvious from the start with her long legs. Im pretty sure she is a female and Im thrilled to have her. She's pretty tame and inquisitive. i was surpised i didnt get any silkies or cochins but i was hoping for a bunch or cornish, dutch and oegb with a hopeful modern. Im happy with my D'uccles tho. those are neat. Never had any. I want to order the assorted cornish real bad but im thinking about mulling it over til spring and trying to see what I end up with the mystery swap eggs and someone on here finally contacted me about having some cornish bantams just not laying now. So far I ended up with 28 two didnt make it and I had 26 with 10 roosters and 16 hens so not bad. Then a hawk got a rooster so now im down to 9 banty roos and 16 banty hens and 3 standard chickens. i was really fearing more roos but with banties none of them are sexed so you stand a better chance of 50/50 than with the standard size which are available sexed so they have tons of extra roos.

wooo hooo my assortment should be here in the morning..... 25 of the little cheap specials..... we will see what i get... looks like you got alot of roos.
