Special Bond?

This is kind of an odd question, but I was curious. I'm letting a broody hen raise some chicks, and obviously they have quite a strong bond right now. I was wondering, will there always be a special bond or relationship between the mom and the chicks? Or will that just go away?

The bond between mother and chock usually fades away after a few weeks, with the chicks adventuring farther and farther away from Mama until they are on their own completely.

They will be independent, but still a family group, maybe for years.

Okay, thanks. I was just wondering if there would always be some sort of special connection. I mean, I figured they wouldn't always be following her, but I thought maybe they would be nicer to each other or something.

Not really.
Most the time once the broody weans the chicks, which can appear brutal BTW,
they are no longer 'related'.
