Special Needs (Deaf) Puppy- Suggestions?

Another tip for a deaf dog is at night time when you want him to come inside click your outdoor light on and off. Since you have another dog, I would click the light when calling your other dog so the pup learns what it means.

I have had two deaf dogs in my life ( a white boxer and a border collie).
They do respond to hand signals well once they get the idea what you are wanting of them. They do compensate for losing that one sense.
