The coop can only take in 6 more hens. Hence the "12," presuming that it is 50% female hatch and 50% male hatch; and that is ASSUMING a 100% hatch

Extra roosters will probably be given away. If I end up with less hens, its OK.

BTW - He did mention he was going to the arts and crafts store to get me something for christmas. I thought it was gonna knitting needles or something
