Speckedhen & others, need advice on babies

My banty mom is in a rubbermade container with food and water inside a 4x3 cage. The babies (hatched yesterday) are too little to get out of the container but are coming out checking out the food and water and seem fine. My plan was to turn the container on it's side so they can get access in the cage. When is this okay to do? I planned to wait a few days but with the little ones running around, it now looks a bit cramped.

Sounds like a good idea as long as they can't get out of the cage and not get back inside.

Also try putting some baby food and water near to mum so she can feed them! boiled egg yolks are a nice treat for both mum and chicks.
