Speckled eggs?

One of my chickens has recently switched from laying a nice brown egg to laying one with white speckles. Very pretty, but does anyone know what would cause this? Thanks!

MY guess would be just a glitch in the paint dept. of the hen. Could be small amounts of excess calcium. Nothing to worry about.

I don't know what causes it but I wouldn't let it stress you out. I have a hen who lays a green one with white spots and one hen who lays a brown egg with dark brown spots. It gives them character!
