Speckled Eggs?

Hi, this is my first time incubating eggs!

I just candled them for the first time. I saw some of the eggs had speckles. What does that mean? And how can you tell if the embryo is dead? I already looked on the BYC incubating eggs thread and I didn't see anything that helped. Thanks.

look up photos of "porous" eggs and compare to what you remember seeing. it's usually recommended to not set super porous eggs, but, give 'em a chance since you already set them. they might turn out just fine, especially since you're seeing signs of life

Yeah, I guess you could call it a "porous" egg. Because that's what it looks like. I didn't know they were "porous" eggs when I set them. Do they hatch?
