Our 23 week old SS is breathing heavy with her mouth open. She sometimes makes little noises too. We're bringing her in today to see what is wrong, but can anyone tell me if they know what is wrong? She's been laying fine, and she seems to be eating and drinking fine too.

Hello,

That's not alot to go on....Are you in an area where it's very hot? Could she be panting due to being overheated? Are the noises she makes sounds of congestion? Perhaps she has a respiratory problem.....Has she suffered any trama? Perhaps she has an internal injury that you cannot see, like say, from a fall?

So sorry I can't be more helpful.....

We brought her to the vet and gave her an ivermection shot to be on the safe side, but we do think that she was a little hot. She seems to do it in warm rooms that are about 70 degrees, so we've been keeping the coop window open for her and she seems to be better.

Nope. She was breathing heavy when we brought her into the house, but we didn't know what was wrong with her, so we brought her to the vet, and the vehicle was warm. So was the clinic. It's actually about 30 degrees outside.
