Speckled Sussex chics

Too young yet, their speckling pattern isn't formed well enough.
They all look the same until that pattern forms, males are much less speckled.

Good lord your boys really do pop out those combs and wattles post haste. One of yours has nearly as much as my year old female does right now.

How did you tell? I looked at their lower regions but too much fluff lol

Oh this is good indication mine are hen no one has any red showing or are that developed combs! Here’s to hoping I’m good to go for lots of Sept eggs!
