i posted my speckled Sussex a few weeks ago asking if it was a he or she and it was nearly unanimously voted to be a boy. Ya’ll I’m still not convinced. Behavior isn’t roo-ish at all, he’s scared to death and hides under the girls at the slightest noise. You can tell he/she is scared to death just by being held. She closes her eyes every time.
Also while the comb is big, there is no wattle and it’s super pale still at 13 weeks. It’s even paler than the pic looks. His maran sisters of the same age have smaller but redder wattles. In addition there is not a pointed feather anywhere, all round from head to tail.
Am I delusional? Is is just a big combed girl or a scaredy-cat boy?
