Speckled Sussex Pullet or Roo

Is this young 10 wk old SS a pullet or roo? She isn’t acting particularly Roo-ish. It’s those feathers that have me concerned. I don’t have another SS to compare her to.

Too young for male specific saddles. The comb is a tad large, but not giant. With the amount of white on the shoulders, I'll say pullet.

Update us in 2 weeks with new pics. Sussex are slow developers.
 
I will give it two weeks and post more pics here. I’ve already had one EE pullet show signs of being a roo. But I really wanted a SS hen! 🤗 Perhaps there is still hope.

I’m on edge here. Usually at this age a cockerel will have a larger comb, but we can’t be sure it’s a pullet until saddle feathers come in. Let’s wait a few more weeks to see.

Sussex, male and female, have “loose” looking feathers which may appear to be male specific saddle feathers at first, but it’s nothing to be worried about until they are old enough that we can tell for sure.
