Hi everyone,

First time chicken owner with 5 chickens (Austrolorp, Buff Orp, Easter egger, Barred Rock and Speckled Sussex).

At 6 weeks all of the chickens appear to be pullets, except for maybe the sussex. I would love to get opinions as to pullet or roo. Thanks!

um... having a 8 week old Sussex, I think it's a cockerel because of the comb and waddles. however, hens can get large comb too, so I really don't know.

i'm 40% cockerel and 60% pullet.

There's no other chickens in the picture for size context, but for what it's worth the comb on the sussex is no bigger or redder than the other 4.

Thank you so much to everyone for weighing in, again I'm new to this so I'm probably worried over nothing. The sussex feathered in more slowly than the other four (and still has a decently fuzzy butt at 6 weeks, with hardly any tail feathers yet), so I thought maybe they were a rooster. I'll do my best to remember to post the finally result once I know for sure!
