Speckled White Plymouth Rock?

Ok, so she could be a Delware then? I have a couple Delawares last year, and their markings were much nicer than hers.
I figured she is probably a cross of a White Rock and something. Perhaps Delaware! lol

I just ordered 10 of the white Plymouth rocks from a Hatchery, and they all look like this. From my current experience this is what they're selling as white Plymouth rocks.

I was told they are all White Rocks, but i'm pretty sure she is a cross, right? lol
I don't think White Rocks can have dark markings?
Wonder what she could be crossed with?

i see this is an OLD post...but i am on a breed/X mystery hunt. my white leg pullet (the byc vote) has a curl to her tail, and has just started to get some dotted black feathering. she is 12 weeks old and looks like her ears are turning red...not leghorn-ish. im thinking a white rock mix. i m trying to figure out what type of mix she could be.
my main question to the OP is...what color eggs did your gal lay?

Your hen is not a Plymouth White Rock purebred. The barring cannot take place with a silver white gene. She's either an offspring of a barred Rock cross. The barred hackles and tail would indicate more likely a Rock/Delaware cross. Either way, she's not purebred. I raise purebred Plymouth White Rock.
