Spices and lamb

I will be making shepard's pie with ground lamb. I have never cooked with lamb meat before. What spices go well with it? TIA!

Lots of garlic, rosemary, fennel might be nice. But plenty of garlic.

I find that Corriander goes well with lamb

Surprisingly cinnamon is good with lamb - not a ton, but a sprinkle gives it good flavor

Garlic and lemon, for a Greek flavor. Add oregano, too. Garlic and oregano makes it Italian. I love lamb with just about anything, or nothing, on it!
