Spike in temp How Harmful???

I came home yesterday and my incubator tem had spiked to 104. I had been close to 99 when I left for the day. I lowered it back down and this morning it was back to normal. I am on day 8. Did this spoil my chances for fluffy butts?

You can candle them and look for movement, or just wait for a few more days and look for development. 104 for a short while is survivable, all day at that temp ain't so good.

I would also be looking for the cause of the temp spike, don't want it to happen again.

It takes more than 12 hours at 104 to kill them.... tested that 2 weeks ago. 104 for 12 hours on day 18... 95% hatched... about normal for me

Thanks, I don't believe it was longer than 8 hours. The temp spike was user error, miy mistake . The temp had dropped overnight and I tried to adjust it just a little. But when I got back home it read 104. Won't do that again.
