Spike Redux - 4(ish) mo. Silkie

I posted pictures of Spike about a week ago when it was snowing and he/she was looking matted. Here they are again dry. Their feathers are still a little crazy, but there is some even-ness to them so I am leaning towards pullet again.

Taking a picture of Spike is near impossible.

Maybe have someone hold Spike, while you get a close up photo? Use one hand to hold back the crest feathers.

On the fence. Would love to say that spike is a girl, but the comb is slighty raised and wide. The possible streamers are not obvious and I have had pullets that look like that. I think you will need to wait it out a bit longer to be certain.

I too am on the fence with this one. Some photos I lean to male and others female but silkies can be tricky. Update photos in a few weeks and hopefully it should be more obvious.
