I have a 10 week old americauna/EE (not sure which) that at about 4 weeks old I
Noticed he would occasionally spin In circles. Since then, he spins in circles all the time. He rarely walks straight. He also has scissor beak. A friend who also raises chicksns thinks we should cull him but I wanted to see if anyone here had a similar experience. I would hate to cull him as he is my daughters favorite and has the sweetest personality but I
Don't want him to suffer.

Is it a cockrel for sure? If it is, you don't want to allow him to stay in your flock to pass on his genes to future generations. If it is a PET pullet and will be used only for eggs, and if you don't mind putting the extra work into her, she may very well come around with Nutri-Drench. I have one pullet who demonstrates neuro signs which go away when she gets her vitamins. She's my best layer! But, the cross beak is also going to affect your chicken's nutrition. If you find that she is not able to eat enough to grow well, you'll either have to hand feed her, or cull her. There are threads that deal with cross beak, and if it's not too severe, you might be able to give some temporary correction with MILD beak trimming.

No I think it's a hen but I keep calling her a he for some reason. I will go get some nutri drench today and start her on it. She eats pretty well but it takes her longer to eat. She drinks well too. I hope this helps her. She's very sweet.

Hi shannon712,
I'm not sure if you're going to even get this but my chicken has wry neck. I was wondering if the nitri drench did the trick and how you fed/gave it to her?
Thank you
